John's first venture into the world of music began at the age of nine when he began learning
the classical violin. Fortunately for us, he became captivated with Irish fiddling
after hearing a performance by Dale Russ.Since then, John has spent many a happy hour playing fiddle at Irish music sessions all over California, and with several Irish music groups including the well-known-in-California band, The Chico Pub Scouts. John has also spent several months in Ireland immersing himself in the tradition at it's source. John is a consumate player of the fiddle in many styles and has also taken advantage of his musical skills on other instruments to tour professionally with bands of various musical persuasions. Fortunately for us, John has recently relocated from Chico to the Santa Cruz area and is a welcome addition to Molly's Revenge. Send John an email |
